The Light of Life
The last flaming breath of a fallen sun on a frozen and snow buried place, sends out rays like fervent prayers through timeless stars and space. Nestled between the mountains and an inlet of the sea, an ember city glows like another galaxy. Yet, unseen within the recesses of her frozen heart there lies a darkness that no power nor pleasure can ever satisfy. But the Source of light, the piercing truth, here shadowed in a cosmic zoom, Eternal GOD became the Son for me… for you. Mysterious aurora dance to embrace the heavenly light, and for those who come to love the Son, He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life!
December Night
DECEMBER DUSK, just below Flattop Mountain, we snowshoed to this quiet spot overlooking Anchorage, Alaska. My eyes saw the sparkling lights; my heart saw something more. By the time we moved off the hillside, darkness had enveloped us. Many things about life and God seem hard to understand. So, God sent His Son, Jesus, to tell the world the truth about His Father. The fact remains that our sin, that inborn desire to live independently from God, separates us from Him. Through the cross, He made a way for us to reconcile us to Himself. When we accept His sacrificial gift and undeserved favor, we receive His Holy Spirit, who enables us to live in that light.
“The people living in darkness have seen a great light, on those living in the shadow of death a light has dawned… I have come into the world as a light so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness.”
Matt 4:16; Jhn 12:46
